LEGO Ideas team has just revealed the results of its second 2022 review and announced two new fan creations that are in development.
LEGO enthusiasts and fans of British culture will be delighted to know that the iconic Red London Telephone Box, designed by John Cramp, will be made into a LEGO set.
In addition, Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, designed by Simon Scott, will also be brought to life in LEGO form.
Both designs impressed the LEGO review team with their attention to detail and playability, making them an exciting addition to the LEGO Ideas lineup. The final product design, pricing, and availability have not been released yet, but you can stay updated by subscribing to our Telegram channel.
Red London Telephone Box
A huge congratulations to Fan Designer John Cramp (aka Bricked1980). Being born and bred in Great Britain, John wanted to share his love for the British cultural and design icon that is the Red London Telephone Box. It’s so well known that you likely have seen or heard about it even if you haven’t visited Great Britain, as some telephone boxes were exported to other parts of the world! We think John’s design beautifully replicates all the details that pay tribute to the original, all the way from the crown decorations to the phone books hidden inside!
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Big congratulations to Fan Designer Simon Scott (aka Tvrulesmylife). There’s no doubt that Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas has a special place in Simon’s heart. This is in fact the second time he’s reached 10,000 supporters with his representation of this fan favourite and much-loved stop-motion animated musical. Our review team was impressed by all the details that make this scene so recognizable and of course, includes the main characters Jack Skellington and Sally. Simon’s updated version also had a renewed focus on playability to really get immersed into the story.
We can’t wait to see the final products that will be made with these two fan ideas!
